Monday Morning Mention

Happy Monday, Frugalites! With groceries climbing ever higher, I've been thinking a lot about food. Here's some food related posts I've found this week:

Tammy's Recipes posted a lemon poppy seed muffin recipe that I can't wait to try. Yum!

Frugal Fabulous talks about meatless meals. We often end up eating meals with little or no meat and have never felt deprived. Here's some ideas to start you out with!

You don't have to go to a restaurant to get restaurant style food- I've used CopyKat recipes with success. If you're craving something but don't want to shell out the money, a quick search on CopyKat will be well worth the time.

The Queen of Good Intentions makes her own doughnuts!

Here's Meredith at Like Merchant Ship's budget 1950's menu experiment posts- fabulous meals, surprising results!

Life as mom used to spend $250 a week on food for two people! She now embraces a more frugal meal plan. You can see this week's menu here.

Bon appetite!

Yes, I was the ultimate of food snobs.... hothouse tomatoes no matter what season of the year. But, we still eat well. Just on the cheap. Thanks for the link!

Fish, I'm so glad you mentioned that you still eat well! I think your metamorphasis shows that you can be frugal and still enjoy delicious, high quality food.

Believe me, any time I can work in gourmet cheeses, fresh baguettes, sundried tomatoes, etc. I DO!!
