Freegans
An article about Freegans on CNN caught my eye today. I always think it is funny when something I've done for years becomes BIG NEWS! I have never pulled out food from a dumpster, but we've gotten furniture, clothes, and a coffeemaker out of them. I've also sold a ton of good stuff that were dumpster finds. Pretty soon dumpster diving will be what all the cool kids are doing...

I think the Freegan movement really highlights the nature of consumerism, and the waste that goes along with it. If the companies got smart, they would start donating their leftovers (same tax write offs as throwing merchandise away).
