Even Frugal Homemakers go over budget sometimes.

Wow.

With the move, and eating out to much, and paying tuition (new for me- I lost my stipend and tuition waiver when I stopped teaching and moved here. Those online classes are expensive!), and assorted expenses that come up when you move in to a new apartment, and an unbelievable amount of postage this month, we have gone *cue dramatic music* over budget for January. Or rather, we spent more than we earned. Which makes sense when neither of us were getting paid from our old jobs anymore, and my husband's new job has only produced one paycheck thus far. But still, the PAIN!

We must under spend this month to make up the windfall. Luckily, we have a fair amount of savings, so we will not be in debt, but we will have to take money out of savings to cover many of our unusual expenses this month. (Like registering the car in Kansas. And getting driver's licenses. And replacing some of the must have groceries that we simply could not bring with us, etc.)

Frugalites everywhere, wait with bated breath for entries on how to cut expenses further, eat as much as possible out of your pantry, and still have a great time!
